Every trick in the book is fair game when it comes to freeing a young woman from her tyrant.

Seville, early 19th century. Rosine, a young orphan, is kept under lock and key by her guardian, Doctor Bartholo, aided by his greedy sidekick Basile. Promised to a forced marriage on her 18th birthday, she falls in love with a mysterious suitor who courts her in secret. He is none other than Count Almaviva who, with the help of his former valet, the mischievous barber Figaro, will attempt to rescue her…

After The Affair on Rue de Lourcine by Labiche, Compagnie Les Modits returns with a dazzling new version of The Barber of Seville, where the characters are by turns passionate, love-struck, mad, neurotic, fearful and blind. As a tribute to Rossini, the play is punctuated with musical interludes that enrich the performance.
