La Guérinière is located in the narrowest part of the island.
To the east, the Bonhomme oyster port contains very typical, colourful fishing huts and provides access to the many shellfish beds in Bourgneuf Bay.
To the west, La Guérinière flanks the Atlantic with its cove stretching along 8 km of fine sandy beaches. In the dunes, the scents of purple wallflowers, bindweed and everlasting flowers fill the air. Mills overlook the Court Dune. The Both Mill watches over the moored boats.
