"The toutourisme label", what is it?

It's a network of tourist offices ready to give you and your faithful four-legged friend a warm welcome and offer personalised advice for you and your dog.

The Noirmoutier Island Tourist Office is proud to be part of the Toutourisme (Dog-Friendly Tourism) club. When you visit our two welcome tourist offices, your dog will be welcomed like royalty. A water bowl is available at the entrance of each tourist office.

At the beach with my dog

  • Barbâtre beaches: From 1st April to 30th September, your dog can enjoy the beaches before 9 am and after 7 pm. Your dog must be kept on a lead.
  • La Guérinière beaches: From 15th June to 15th September, your dog can enjoy the beaches before 8 am and after 8 pm. Your dog must be kept on a lead.
  • L’Epine beaches: From 1st April to 30th September, your dog can enjoy the beaches before 10 am and after 8 pm. Your dog must be kept on a lead.
  • Noirmoutier-en-l’île beaches: From 1st April to 30th September, your dog can enjoy the beaches before 9 am and after 7 pm. Your dog must be kept on a lead.
    Exception: All year round and at any time, dogs are permitted on the beach known as the "Perré des Sénégalais," from the Devin slipway up to the groynes and recesses marking the end of the seawall. The easiest way to access the Perré des Sénégalais is via the road leading to Pointe du Devin, to the right of Port de Morin in L'Épine.

Reminder: It is prohibited to leave, abandon, throw or dispose of rubbish, waste, excrement, materials, unsanitary liquids or any other object of any kind on public roads or on private property, except in areas designated for this purpose by the competent local authority. This offence also includes urinating in public and is punishable by a fixed fine.
