L'Etelle par Fleur de Sel - Hôtel ****/Restaurant gastronomique

An institution on the island of Noirmoutier since 1982. Renamed in 2023, L’Ételle is the restaurant at the Hôtel Fleur de Sel, situated halfway between the town centre and the beaches of Le Bois de la Chaize. Guests gather here for lunch or dinner in a beautiful, light-filled dining room with views of the château and the church, or on the terrace in the shade of the parasols when the weather is fine. The cuisine is the creation of Éric Pichou, a true enthusiast who has been at the helm of the kitchen since 1994. The refined flavours, rooted in the seasons, showcase fish and local produce. As for the setting, it features the elegant, natural style established by the Wattecamps family, alongside two exhibitions by painters: Céline Wattecamps, Pierrick’s sister, and Béatrice Roche Gardie, a renowned painter. Open from Wednesday to Sunday, L’Ételle offers two set menus for lunch: ‘Brise de Printemps’ and ‘Belle Saison’. For dinner, the ‘Croisière’ set menu and the à la carte menu are available. On Sunday lunchtimes, a gourmet set menu: ‘Le Déjeuner du dimanche’. Available for private hire at lunchtime only, L’Ételle welcomes your family celebrations, as well as community and corporate events.
