Overview
The Noirmoutier Island Salt Cooperative brings together around a hundred salt workers who uphold the tradition of artisanal and natural salt harvesting. In our shop, you can discover fleur de sel, delicately skimmed from the surface of the water and sun-dried on the salt marshes. You’ll also find coarse salt, fine salt, as well as other products showcasing our sea salt in various recipes (jams, salted butter toffees, crème caramel, biscuits, chocolate…) and regional specialities (lentils, mogettes, spreads, savoury biscuits…).
Open from 3 April 2026 to 4 January 2027.
April to June and September: open on Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.30 pm to 7.00 pm (opens at 9.00 am on Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays). Closed on Sunday afternoons and Mondays.
July and August: open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.30 pm to 7.00 pm (opens at 9.00 am: Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays). Closed on Sunday afternoons.
October to December: open Tuesday to Saturday from 10.00 am to 1.00 pm and from 2.30 pm to 6.30 pm. Closed on Sundays and Mondays.
