29 de la Fontaine is a former farmhouse dating from the late 19th century, built entirely of dry-stone masonry and facing due south. It is situated at the entrance to the historic district of Banzeau, 100 metres from Chaussée Jacobsen, St Philbert’s Church, the castle and the harbour; 150 metres from the shops and the market; and the large Sableaux beach is an 8- to 10-minute cycle ride away.
The building has been completely converted into a home with all modern comforts (internet, insulation, low-temperature underfloor heating, a Hase porcelain wood-burning stove, not to mention the paintings that give the place its personal touch).
The 40m² living room, with a 5m cathedral ceiling, features an open-plan kitchen and a bar, making it the perfect space for socialising. The sleeping area is separated from the living area by a corridor leading to:
- 2 family bedrooms (one 160x200 bed and two 80x200 beds)
- 2 small bedrooms (one 80x200 bed and one 140x200 sofa bed), each with a mezzanine featuring an extra bed
- a bathroom with a walk-in shower and a toilet
- a separate toilet
All the furniture and bedding are virtually new (summer 2020).
Outside, there is a fully enclosed landscaped garden (parking available), a cycle shed, a terrace, a marquee for summer dining, plus armchairs, parasols and a plancha.
Various additional services available at extra cost: bicycles, duvet covers, cleaning, etc.
