Overview
The ‘Fort Saint Pierre’ municipal water sports centre in Noirmoutier-en-l’Île, affiliated to the French Sailing Federation, is situated between Plage des Dames and Plage des Sableaux, in the Bois de la Chaise, in the municipality of Noirmoutier-en-l’Île.
The sailing area in Bourgneuf Bay, sheltered from the swell and the prevailing westerly winds, is ideal for the water sports activities led by instructors who are either qualified by the French Sailing Federation or hold state certification.
Our instructors are keen to share their passion for sailing and the joy of being on the water with you, combining expertise, professionalism and a cheerful attitude.
A range of options is available from mid-March until the All Saints’ Day holidays in 2026:
- Private lessons on request: catamaran, windsurfing, wingfoil, birdy fish.
- Aquatic walking (from 15 years old): one session per week on Wednesdays from 10.00 to 12.00 (excluding Zone B school holidays, July and August).
- Sailing courses lasting 3 to 5 days (from 7 years old) during Zone B and C school holidays and (from 6 years old) in July and August.
- Jardin des Mers (for 4–5-year-olds) in July and August.
